Getting Quite Excited

posted by Daniel Seco
Hey guys! My name is Dan and I will be a Team Leader in Biloxi during the week of the 15th through the 22nd. I'm a senior at the University of Maryland about to graduate. I work for the Baltimore Orioles in the clubhouse (don't tell anyone, but I'm a Yankees fan). Last year I was a volunteer in Lake Charles, which was one of the best experiences of my life. Seriously...get pumped up and start talking up how excited you are to your friends and family. You are in for something truly special, something so different from anything you could ever encounter in Cancun or Acapulco. Bring a good attitude and a willingness to meet new people from all walks of life. I can't wait to meet you all!

The countdown begins....

It's almost here! I think I can speak for most of the alumni when I say that we were looking forward to ASB 2008 since the van ride back to the airport leaving last year's program.

I consider ASB to be a once-in-a-lifetime experience, so my ability to come back a second year is extremely exciting for me. I'll be a Team Leader in SWLA this year (March 8-15) - I hope to see a bunch of recognizable smiling faces from last year! I know the a few of the Sloppy Caulkers will be in attendance :)

To all the new people out there, get ready. This is unlike anything you've ever experienced. Even if you've volunteered in the past, the bonds you'll form with those around you and the families you help is almost inexplicable. Get ready to to get dirty, get ready to have some fun and get ready to eat some Sonic!

Let's go help some people....

P.S. A shoutout to my boys Adam and Randy and all my other good friends here in Detroit. Good luck with the new ASB program...although I can't be there to lend a hand, know that you're helping to make a noticeable difference in our community. I know it'll be a smash hit!
