March is almost here!
Hi Everyone!
I'm so glad to see that everyone is really excited about ASB, and that Detroit is going well. I've been sending warm weather thoughts their way all week, but I don't think it helped!
I'm getting ready to head down to Lake Charles tomorrow and I'll be there for the whole month of March. I'm pretty excited myself and I hope you're all feeling prepared. One of the best parts of heading down to Louisiana is getting to see the fabulous SWLA intern, Kevin Jones. We have an intern bond this year, but we met the first night of ASB in 2006 and we've been friends ever since. As the alums can atest to, you'll make friends in the coming weeks that you'll have forever ( something about being covered in plaster, paint and dirt together really bonds people). I'm also looking forward to seeing all the other alums I know from the past years and meeting all the new people who'll come through the housing center doors in March.
Although I won't be in Mississippi this year, I do want to shout out to all the people there who have been putting in their hard work. Mary and Markus are going to make sure that all of you going to South Mississippi have an amazing experience and I wish I were going there to meet all of you as well!
I just want to remind everyone to do their travel surveys so that we can be there to pick you up! And to please do your background checks, because without one, you can't participate.
